In the vape market today, there is a good number of pod devices that every vaper just has to try. Brands like Eleaf have released such devices, all unique in their own way. Eleaf released a pair of devices under the same name, but with slightly different specifications. There is the standard Tance, and a slightly advanced version, the Tance Max.
In this review, we will take a closer look into the Eleaf Tance Max. Before anything else, the Tance Max is a beefed-up version of the Tance. It is still a simple pod device. If you are already experienced in vaping, the Tance Max should be a breeze. However, if you are a newbie, it will only take a moment to get used to.
The Tance Max device is available on the Eleaf World website within the price range of $30.92-$36.80. The kit comes fully equipped with everything you need to get started with the Tance Max device. You can select from an array of colour options that the Tance Max pod device is available in. You could go simple with either the White or Black, or you could spice things up a notch with either the Geometry, SeaBlue, Trick or SeaShell.
The Tance Max comes packed in a nice rectangular cardboard box. On the front of the box is a picture of the device in the exact colour the device will come in. At the back of the box is a list of the kit’s contents alongside some technical information and warnings. Inside the box, you will find:
- 1x Tance Max Battery
- 1x Tance Max Cartridge
- 1x GS Air M 0.6ohm Head
- 1x GS Air S 1.6ohm Head
- 1x TYPE-C USB Cable
- 1x User Manual
The Tance Max device itself is a sleek device with plenty of clean lines. Just like its earlier version, the Tance, the Tance Max is also made of a zinc-alloy with colourful plastic panels on its sides. With each colour option, the style of the plastic panels vary however, they all look really good. Standing at 101mm tall with a width and thickness of 31mm and 20.5mm, the Tance max comes in as a unique kind of pod device. It weighs 87.5g which is a little on the heavy side, but not distractingly heavy.
The cornerstone of this device is its e-juice capacity, which is one of the major differences between it and the Tance. It is also one of the reasons for the bulkiness of the device. The Tance Max cartridge holds 4ml of e-juice, and doubles as the mouthpiece of the device. It is made of a smoked plastic, and is slightly tinted so you can still see just how much e-juice you have left. The device is not draw-activated, but it features an intuitive fire-button for easy operation. Eleaf made refilling the Tance Max cartridge very easy so you don’t waste any valuable time.
The Tance Max uses replaceable coils held in place by a threaded collar. It also doubles as the airflow control with five holes that you can open and close to your preference. It is best suited for Mouth-To-Lung considering the amount of airflow however, you can also get a restricted direct lung hit. Altogether, both coils produce a decent vape experience with optimum flavour and good vapour production.
At the top end of the Tance Max device is an opening with three magnetic contact points. These hold the cartridge in place and ensure it is securely connected. The grip is firm so you do not have to worry about the cartridge skipping out.
Such an exciting device can only be complemented by a powerful battery, and Eleaf did not hesitate to gear up the Tance Max with a chunky one. The Tance Max sports a 1100mAh inbuilt battery, this is one major upside to this device so it compliments nicely for its size. The battery has a maximum output of 15w. With such power, you can go on enjoying great vape experiences all day long before going back in for a charge.
The Tance Max features the Type-C USB compatibility, this is new-age technology and Eleaf took no time to equip this device with it. The Type-C USB port is located below the device, and it can charge the Tance Max device from zero to full within an hour so you can resume vaping as soon as possible.
Using the device is simple. On the front of the pod device, there is a single rectangular-shaped button with a line in its centre to allow an LED indicator to shine through. You click the button five times to turn it on and off, and only a single press to activate it. The LED is used to indicate when the device firing, charging, as well as to indicate the battery’s battery level, giving you even more control.
The Eleaf Tance Max is a plus for Eleaf. The capacity and performance of this pod device place it in the front lines. So, if you are looking for a decent vape pod system, try the Eleaf Tance Max.
