It is important to use a base substance when mixing a variety of plants for vaporization. The base (or carrier) substance needn’t be an active ingredient in the blend. Quite often, the amount of active substances in an herbal preparation is substantially less than the amount of material needed to fill the vaporization chamber.
Users will enjoy a more efficient inhalation experience if the chamber is filled; the base substances create the necessary bulk. Carriers also help perform other functions. Eucalyptus, for instance, which is one of our personal favorites, can often be used to open the breathing passageways to allow the other active elements in your blend or formula to be more easily absorbed.
